About

Still Alive is a simple tool for periodically proving you are still alive. No accounts, no email, no personal data required.

Create an entry and you receive a 10-digit token — your only credential. Check in at your chosen interval (monthly, quarterly, or yearly). Miss a check-in and your status turns yellow; miss twice the interval and it turns red — presumed dead.

You may attach a dead man's switch message: text published automatically on your entry if your status ever turns red. Use it for final words, instructions, or information you want released if you stop responding.

Entries can be public or private. Your token is never stored — only its hash — and cannot be recovered if lost. You can export or permanently delete your data at any time.

Abuse prevention: we rate-limit requests using values derived from IP addresses. These values are deleted automatically after at most 24 hours, and the key used to derive them changes daily, so older values cannot be reconstructed. Check-in records contain no IP-related data at all, and the application never stores raw IP addresses.

Be realistic: perfect anonymity is impossible. The web server and hosting infrastructure may keep their own access logs outside our control, and network-level observers exist. For an additional layer of protection we recommend accessing this site through a VPN or Tor.
